What is Pedalytics
Pedalytics is a cycling app that keeps your garage, components, wear and maintenance, part by part, from your rides. It uses the same account as GoForIt. It has not been released yet: there is no date and no price.

What it does
- Garage. All your bikes and their parts, with position (front, rear, left, right), parts fitted, removed or kept as spares, and up to 6 private photos per bike.
- Factory builds. You pick your model and it creates a private copy with its parts, which you can change. Each part starts as new, used or unknown, and the catalogue never rewrites yours.
- Memory per ride. Each ride keeps a snapshot of the setup. If you change the chain on Tuesday, Sunday's ride stays tied to the old one.
- Mechanical load. It turns each ride into equivalent kilometres based on terrain, rain, mud and other conditions. How it is worked out.
- Wear per part. It adds those kilometres to each part and compares them with a reference that cites its source. Where no reliable figure exists, as with a frame, it gives no percentage: that part is checked by its condition.
- Reminders. Clean and lube the chain after rain, mud or salt, a part nearing its reference, or brake fluid and sealant when their time is up.
- Ride analysis. Power, heart rate, cadence, speed and altitude on one trace. Whatever your file lacks is shown as missing.
- Prepare ride. It compares your bikes with a plan (distance, terrain, rain, mud) and gives a short list of what to check before and after.
- Workshop. Cleans, lubes, replacements and inspections, with products and notes, on the timeline of the bike and the part.
What it does not do
- It does not measure wear: it has no sensors on the bike. A chain is measured with a gauge and brake pads by eye or with a caliper, and that is still needed.
- It does not work out your position on the bike or recommend which bike to buy.
- It does not replace a mechanic or confirm that a bike is safe.
- It does not connect today to Garmin, Google Health or Apple Health for rides. They are on the roadmap, with no date. A FIT file from Garmin can be imported.
- There is no version to try on the web. This site explains the product and offers free calculators and guides.
What is not validated yet
Who is behind it
Pedalytics is developed by Daniel Ortega, in Spain, who also runs GoForIt, the sister app for training and recovery that shares the account. Contact: support@pedalytics.bike. How your data is handled is in the app privacy policy. Other products and projects have similar names: this is the one at www.pedalytics.bike.
Frequently asked questions
Is Pedalytics available?
Not yet. The app is in preparation and there is no public date. This site will be updated when there is one.
Do I need Strava?
No. You can import FIT files or create rides by hand. Strava is the most comfortable way to have them arrive on their own. Pedalytics is independent and not affiliated with Strava.
Does Pedalytics measure chain wear?
No. It estimates it from your rides and tells you where each figure comes from. To know the state of a chain you have to measure it with a gauge.
Is it the same as GoForIt?
No, they are two apps with one account. GoForIt brings training, nutrition, sleep and recovery together; Pedalytics looks after the bike and its parts.
Is my data private?
Yes. Only your account can read and change your bikes, parts and rides. The catalogue of parts and builds is shared by all accounts.
