Strava and your bike's maintenance: every ride on the right bike

Strava tells you which bike you used on each activity, but it does not know which components it carried or how worn they are. Connecting Strava to a maintenance tool lets every ride arrive already assigned to its bike and feed the history of its parts.

Pedalytics is in preparation and cannot be downloaded or used yet. This guide explains the approach it is being built around. Meet Pedalytics

What Strava knows and what it does not

Strava stores the activity and the bike you marked on it. It does not store which chain, cassette or tyres you were running that day, or how many rides they have accumulated. That per-part memory is what maintenance needs.

Syncing your history

You can sync since the last time or pull the last 30, 90 or 365 days, depending on how much history you want to bring in.

And if you do not use Strava

It is not required. You can import FIT files from your bike computer or create a ride by hand and assign it its setup. Strava is simply the most convenient way to sync automatically.

Strava is a trademark of Strava, Inc. Pedalytics is an independent product and is not affiliated with Strava.
